ha! i'm in major dork mode lately. i think i'm just so happy to have had this week off work! yes, i trained clients but that's not work for me, that's FUN. ;)
the funny thing about the title of this post is that i didn't even eat turkey on thanksgiving, i had pork. i went to steven's parents house and they made a non-traditional meal and it was de-li-cious!
so back to my training schedule, here's what i did on wed/thurs/fri this week:
wednesday:
run about .65 miles (it was supposed to be .5 but my route was a little longer) mind you, it was hilly too for an extra push!
15 squat thrusts with two 10lb dumbbells
15 back rows with two 10lb dumbbells
repeat 5x
this workout was killer but i felt soooooooo great after!
thursday:
i had EVERY intention of running or something. but i woke up with a horrible headache and went back to bed. then i got ready and went to thanksgiving dinner so i did nothing :( booooooo.
friday (today):
woke up, decided i'd run to my mom's to check on her dog then run back home. round trip it was probably 2.5 miles. half the run to my moms is a giant hill and BOY was i paying for not doing anything active yesterday. my legs were killing me! luckily the run home was downhill and the mini break inbetween i stretched good. i also foam rolled when i got home.
tomorrow's the turkey trot in wine country. last year i did the 10k this year im doing the 5k like i did two years ago when i was in the middle of the VBL. i'm more out of shape now i think, sadly. i would like to do it in about 27 mins... we will see!! :)
