so what comes with a new year? a new little blog post. i know, i had bailed on you 2/3 of the way through my 12 days of Christmas challenge. sorry! i realized i was goofing off way too much and needed to hunker down on the whole "studying" thing for my NASM exam. now that i've gotten that sucka out of the way it's time to set some goals for 2012!
last year they went something like this:
1. run my fastest 5k
2. run a 10k
3. run a half marathon (or two?)
4. weigh 145lbs
5. get NASM certified
6. read 11 books
well i accomplished the first three. that's good, for me, considering i RARELY follow my resolutions. also - i definitely WORKED toward the 5th goal and got NASM certified before i could even write my goals for this year down, so i'm happy.
now for my current year's goals:
1. beat my time from last year at the carlsbad 5000, run through the vineyards, and rock n' roll san diego
2. be fit enough to be confident in a two-piece bikini
3. get my career as a CPT started
4. move out of my mom's house (no offense, mom)
challenging yet attainable? very much so. i have to admit, i went into 2011 not truly knowing where it would take me. i had just begun this change in my life and i was still figuring out who i was and what i wanted. i feel like 2012 is my year to make things happen. i started it off right, that's for sure. with my certification under my belt, i can now go leap into the fitness industry and get things started. i'm so excited to be able to do something i'm so passionate about. i was talking with my friends today about how i don't care if it's going to make me work 7 days a week, i want it, so i'll do it. it's not easy, but it's what i love and that means not working a day in my life, right? :)
