day [one]

on the first day of the 12 days of Christmas challenge...

i slept in. and i mean slept in until about 10. it was ahhhmazing. :D

after that i made myself this delicious breakfast:



yes, four egg whites, one egg, a little cholula, a little reduced fat cheese, a sandwich thing, 1/2 cup of oatmeal with cinnamon and truvia. ooohh and a big tall glass of water. water seems to be the one thing i just dont get enough of these days. and you might ask, hey, where are the veggies. after i ate it i wondered the same exact thing!!

then i got ready and went out to buy my sister her birthday present. it was fun. while i was out i sinned a bit. i had a venti sugar free peppermint iced coffee with nonfat milk. not too bad minus the fact that those sugar free syrups are packed with fake crap.

after that i got hungry though so i went to panera. i had a half of a turkey artichoke panini and a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. oh.. and a french baguette. bad girl!

then i rushed home and changed and drove my booty up to P4L in temecula for my usual monday night booty kicking sweat session. we did a lot of resistance tonight. fine by me except i can barely lift my arms right now haha.

post- workout i had my usual protein shake mixed with water. if you're looking for a good protein powder i can honestly, hands down say that optimum nutirtion's gold standard 100% whey is the best i've had. best flavors, great price. my brother made me an optimum junkie too and so now i'm a brand loyalist. (try the chocolate mint!)

i drove my butt home and had about 5 goldfish crackers and three dark chocolate covered espresso beans. believe it or not, i do have enough will power to eat just a couple of both of those. (i shouldn't be eating them at all but i didn't cook for the week yet, food fail #2 of the day!)

now i'm about to go DRINK MORE WATER because i have NOT had enough and bake up some chicken and steam some veggies. i know it seems late but i wont be in bed for quite a few more hours so it's okay i'm eating this late.


now time to criticize my food today. because i was completely unprepared for the 12 days of Christmas challenge i sprung upon myself this morning, i was also completely unprepared food wise. things that will change starting tomorrow:

  1. i will eat every 2-3 hours
  2. i will eat food prepared from my own kitchen (CLEAN/LOW SODIUM)
  3. i will drink MUCH more water
  4. mas vegetables por favor!
tomorrow i plan on running about 3 miles in the AM and i juuust might go lift in the evening.. most likely yes but who knows!
