finishing what i've started

that's my new motto. starting TODAY. :)
i know, i know, everyone keeps telling me i look great and i don't need to lose more, blah blah blah.
i honestly don't care about pounds right now. i care about what i FEEL like. and i know for a fact that during the past month or so, since the end of the VBL extension, i have not been eating as clean as i could and i have not lost weight or even worked out as extremely or as efficiently as i used to.
so what does this all mean?
i'm starting over.

i personally believe that through a journey like this, you have to start over sometimes. start fresh, try new workouts, try new foods, try switching things up. this will hurdle you over a plateau, re-vamp you, and put you in the direction you intend on going.

so HOW might i be doing this?? my goal is to shoot for a carb-protein-fat ratio of 40-40-20 percent of my calories each day. i am also planning on truly focusing on the timing of my foods. this means eating the majority of my carbs for breakfast, and then around my workouts. next, i'm going to introduce a few new supplements into my diet as well. currently, i take CLAs, fish oil, vitamin c, a women's multi-vitamin and whey protein. i'm going to introduce some creatine ethyl ester, BCAAs and glutamine into the mix and see where that takes me (i know, it sounds like a foreign language to many of you.. but you can learn more about all these awesome things here. as for workouts, the plan is to continue with my monday night/friday AM p4l HIIT workouts (High Intensity Interval Training, for those of you who don't know), my running mileage is going to start increasing week by week because after sunday, i'm going to start training for my 10k, and then i plan on doing some sort focus on different body parts different days of the week... which i will get back to you on starting next week!

i'm sure that by switching things up and focusing more, i'll get to where i want to be in no time. i have to admit, maintaining is easy. honestly, SO easy!! i can cheat a little here and there, lax on my workouts a bit, and just stay right where i'm at. but, i'm not where i truly want to be, so why stop now???
