i'm awkward.
like in the "i get myself into odd, dorky situations a LOT" sort of way. situations where many would just give up and cry but USUALLY i laugh. i think it's a good thing that i'm capable of laughing at the situation.
and now for the example...
so i was laying down watching football yesterday, still with terrible neck pain and knowing i should darn well be sleeping after that lovely muscle relaxer i took, but instead my mind was going a mile a minute. you see, now that i live in escondido, i'm back to my regular work schedule, and i joined a gym on the way to and from work, i can actually go to bed at a normal time and have a normal schedule. this excites me to the max! (seriously, who says that? ahem, awkward). but anyway, i was planning and plotting and scheming. i want my bikini body. and now that i have super CPT skills under my belt i can write myself my OWN program and be my own guinea pig.
so i did it. when i came home from football, i planned. i wrote a meal plan. i wrote a gym schedule. i decided that mondays (maybe wednesdays as well) will be dual gym sesh days because of my work hours. i will wake up at 5, eat, go to the gym, lift, get ready at the gym, go to work by 7:15, eat again before class starts at 8, work till 4ish, head straight to the gym on the way home, get in my cardio sesh before the crowds and then head home in time to actually COOK DINNER AT HOME! :) waahhhooooiiieee. best. idea. ever.
so i pack my bag for the gym, i pack my food for the day, i brag on facebook about how i'm just the most awesomely prepared person ever and i hit the hay. i woke up just fine, actually pretty excited to try my new schedule out. my morning went as planned: food, gym, shower at gym.... get dressed for work...? um no. where are my pants?? here's my shirt, my sweater, my make-up, my boots. uh oh, i forgot my pants!!! (AWKWARD, i tell you!) good thing i left that extra time to eat breakfast at work so i flew home (work shirt with gym pants on) and put my pants on... all i could do was laugh. i love myself. i love my awkwardness.
the good thing is that i can say today was a great day! here's what my workout schedule is like each week:
monday - AM shoulders/core, PM cardio
tuesday - back/biceps, cardio
wednesday - plyometrics
thursday - rest
friday - legs, cardio
saturday - chest/triceps, cardio
sunday - plyometrics
my carlsbad 500 training is going to include a lot of speed work so sprints and stairclimber intervals will be a huge chunk of my cardio training. as for the plyos days.. i haven't really written out a workout yet but i'm super excited to try new stuff. i can't wait for it to get dark later so i can go to a park and play on stairs, benches, etc. fun fun fun! :) group workout sessions, anyone??
ignore my steps/min... stairclimber intervals have my heart <3 |
hi i take pictures of my sweaty self on the treadmill. |
i could eat this again, and i JUST finished it. |
With as much add you work out, toy could probably go pantless and no one would care
