New Body, New Outlook, New Life, New Year

okay, so I'm starting off with a huge THANK YOU and an apology. thank you all times a billion for all the supportive words, encouragement, and donations throughout this entire thing. since the last time i posted, i lost myself for a bit. it's a new year now, and i'm re-gaining focus on my life and what is important in it.

i'll sum up the rest of my Valley's Biggest Loser experience saying i never once fell below the yellow line, i lost 24.8lbs and 8.5 inches off my waist and my life changed in more ways than can be put into words. i had the most amazing time, honestly. i've met awesome friends, began to learn a lot about myself, and i feel the best i have in my entire life.

i signed up for the 6-week extension of the program that starts on january 8th. we go back to working out wed/fri nights and weighing in on sat mornings with no teams or challenges or anything but i just wanted to do it to keep me on track and be around some of the awesome people i have met to help motivate myself and them. my goal was to lost 5lbs during the holidays, and i did! :)

i looked at my sparkpeople.com page the other day and back at the beginning of august, i set a goal to weigh 170 by december 31st. I DID IT! I went from 208 to 170 in 5 months. I'll take it. That's 38lbs! :) annnd through Thanksgiving, Christmas AND New Year's?? I made it through, losing weight, annnd I can honestly say I don't feel too guilty about the things I've done through these holidays. i've kept up my gym routine, maybe laxed a little on the cardio, and i've eaten decent. i definitely have not eaten as clean as i normally would. i've also given into temptation easier and had much more alcohol then i've needed, BUT, i'm here, not ready to go back to my old life. and i'm SO excited to get back on track. i've already started cooking my food for the week today.

i'm going to try and continue blogging from now on. i'm also going to sign up for this when i start the extension to hold me even more accountable: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/transformation-challenge.html

my new weight-loss goal: 145 by June 30th.. right in time for my 25th birthday!
